As featured in Sunday Night Lights: A NASCAR Simulation by GraySpeed Productions, Louisiana Motor Speedway is a 0.6-mile short track that opened in 1995. The track was built as a result of a unique program created by NASCAR and the International Speedway Corporation to accept bids for co-ownership of a new Winston Cup Series facility. The selected bid came from New Orleans Saints owner and Chevrolet dealership owner Tom Benson and features a uniquely wide short track with big differences in banking between the straightaways and turns.
This is the first fully completed track by our group, so there may be a few hiccups. Please let us know!
NOTES:
*It is recommended to not use Full Pace Lap for the start of the race, as we've been having issues with that.
*The Grandstands in turn 1 will only show up during the race, and not practice and qualifying. We are working to address this issue.
